Sea Base can ONLY accept their Sea Base Class III Medical. Requires Physician's medical evaluation and signature.

A regular BSA Class III medical is not acceptable. Another "sports" medical is not acceptable.

Florida Sea Base - 2008

Key Dates

3/1/08 last $225 ck due to Troop 11, Jon Jacobs, Treasurer.
4/1/08: 90 days prior -($1800) final payment due
5/31/08: 30 days prior - crew roster submitted
5/31/08: 30 days prior - all participants pass BSA Swim Test.
6/12/08: Thursday last day of school in Piedmont, 18 days till Sea Base.

6/29/08 - Sunday - fly to Miami -
10am depart Piedmont: transit to SFO (BART/carpool):
allow 1hr transit and 1 hr security check
12:05 depart SFO, AA #442, arrive MIA 8:40 pm.
-hotel and shuttle-TBD

6/30/08 depart Miami by 11am, transit: 2 hours from Miami to Sea Base

Sea Base week:
6/30/08 - Monday - day 1 - arrive as close to 1pm as possible. Orientation, swim test review, dinner at Base, board vessel, sleep on board.
7/1/08 - Tuesday - day 2 - head out to open water
7/2/08 - Wednesday - day 3
7/3/08 - Thursday - day 4
7/4/08 - Friday - day 5
7/5/08 - Saturday - day 6
7/6/08 - Sunday - day 7 - Breakfast, then depart SeaBase by 11AM.
7/6/08 --2:55 PM depart MIA, AA #1455, arrive SFO 5:35 pm.
