Eagle Scout Project and Rank
The Eagle Scout rank is the pinnacle of the Boy Scout ranks. It
is a challenging and significant personal lifetime achievement.
All the Eagle Scout requirements must be completed before a scout's
18th birthday. The final
requirement is the Eagle Scout service project. Experience
suggests that it usually takes about
6
months to plan and complete the project and the Eagle
application materials. It can be done faster, but general advice
is start earlier and don't back yourself into a corner with the hard
deadline of the 18th birthday. This page is to
provide information and resources to help scouts to understand
and manage the steps to reaching the Eagle's Nest. It is a
work in process, feel free to make suggestions.

Jim's project is for the camel feeding area at the
Oakland Zoo
. Jim built a set of 4 concrete pads for the camels eating area,
previously the camels
dropped their feed in the dirt and then ate some dirt with their food,
which is not good for their health.
